Take the first step to become a successful Project Manager

A whole lot of aspirants dream of becoming a highly successful and well-paid project manager. However, only a few succeed in the same. However, if you start planning for a rewarding career from the very first day, it can turn around the tables for you. We all know that uncertified project management professionals have much lesser opportunities than certified professionals and are also certainly paid much less than them. Therefore, before you plan to start your career as a project manager, you should also consider getting your skills and certification certified by an entry-level certification. The best entry-level certification in the field of project management is certainly the CAPM Certification, which is regulated under the Project Management Institute and can be highly rewarding for you as an entry-level professional. Below mentioned are some of the details about the same.

Details about the CAPM Certification:

CAPM is one of the most basic certifications in the field of project management which is perfectly suited for professionals with a very low amount of work experience or aspirants who dream to work with one of the best companies from the very beginning of their career. Below mentioned are the eligibility criteria required for the certification.

·         The aspirant must hold a high school diploma, any other global equivalent, or higher educational qualification.

·         In addition to the above-mentioned qualification, the aspirant is also required to have a minimum of 1500 hours of professional work experience as a project manager, working with relevant projects in order to become eligible for the CAPM exam. However, if the aspirant does not have the required work experience, they can also complete a formal CAPM study of 23 hours in order to become eligible for the certification exam.

If you have gained a decent amount of experience in the field of project management, you should consider getting certified with the PMP Certification which is more advanced than CAPM and can be more rewarding as well. However, it does require a minimum of 3-5 years of professional work experience along with 35 hours of PMP prep in order to appear for its certification exam.
