·         If you are a high school diploma holder or have any other globally equivalent qualification, you shall be required to have a minimum of 5 years of work experience with 7500 hours of professional working as a project manager. You shall also be required to successfully complete a minimum of 35 hours of formal PMP prep.

·         If you hold a 4-year degree certification or any other higher qualification, you can appear for the PMP exam only after a minimum of 3 years of work experience with 4500 hours of working as a project manager. Completing 35 hours of formal PMP prep is also mandatory to become eligible.

Based on the above-mentioned requirements, if you do not see yourself eligible to appear for the PMP exam right now, you can always go in to get the CAPM certification which is also regulated by PMI.
